Lower Milford Township

 Lower Milford Township has a rich history. It has been primarily a farming area. Because of its water resources it has supported a number of mills, the remnants of a few still exist today. It has a tradition of diverse religions as well as numerous schools in the Township. Even today, the Township  has a number of old homes, farms, hotels, mills and other historically significant features that remind us of the past and the beauty of the area. It is a proud and interesting history that should be preserved.

The Lower Milford Historical Society was formed in 2005. Its main purpose is to preserve the history of the Township, educate the public about the events that has made the Township what it is today, and provide genealogical information.
